Mission Statement

Apollo Music Society creates opportunities for students and members of the wider University of Melbourne community to participate in music, develop musical skills, perform, and share their passion with others. Through our diverse array of ensembles, performances, and social events we foster a musical community for people of all backgrounds, interests, and levels of experience.

Values Statement

Apollo operates under the three values in our motto: “Music, Friends, Charity”.

Music
We are here because we love music. We value the enjoyment and creativity that music brings to our lives. We create opportunities for people to learn, develop, and express themselves through music, regardless of their experience or ability. We support one another to become better musicians.

Friends
We believe in the power of music to bring people together. We value the friendship and connections that form from rehearsing, performing, and making music together. We create an environment where everyone feels welcome and respected, and belong in a community they are proud to be part of.

Charity
Music can make a positive difference beyond our community. We use our music to support charitable causes and contribute to the broader community through semesterly charity concerts, community events, and nursing home and hospital performances.
